About us
The Superior Refining Company is a major regional oil refinery located in Superior, Wisconsin. Established in 1951, the facility produces a range of petroleum products, including gasoline, diesel, asphalt, and heavy fuel oils, with a processing capacity of approximately 50,000 barrels of crude oil per day.
The refinery is fully owned and operated by Cenovus Energy, a Canadian-based integrated energy company headquartered in Calgary. Cenovus Energy is committed to maximizing value through the safe, responsible, and cost-efficient development of its assets.
Cenovus Energy operates across Canada, the United States, and the Asia-Pacific region, maintaining a strong presence in upstream, downstream, and integrated energy operations.
